What difference does it make ?
We were trying to keep these specs consistent across the "stock" classes so you could use 1 engine in multiple hull applications.

I just got hold of Andrew ONeil, he drafted the original T1 and T2 remits approx 2007 / 2008, he has confirmed, and if you read note 2 regarding this in the rule book in the right context, he confirms that AT THAT TIME the stock carbs that were issued with the 230 and 260 engines were either the 603 or 644 carbs. The 257 was the allowable substitute.

If we are talking stock here to me it means stock, no mods at all. Zenoah's are an out dated motor and there is talk about them bringing in an updated model, these when released will probably be more expensive than other stock motors off the shelf. What are you going to do then still stick to Zenoahs because of lot of the oldies in the sport have them and they are not interested in the new blokes that have bought motors that are better value for money. Steve you were talking about blokes spending a grand a month on motors to be competitive, I have purchased several motors for half the price of Zenoahs and they will (should) leave Zenoahs for dead. This is starting to sound like a Ford vs Holden thing thing. There are many motors out there that will Blow a stock Zen away. How ever as you say Zenoha are out dated but they are the most constant brand out there in stock form. There is one model not many different variations like other brands and this makes it the perfect engine for a stock class. IMO

The committee will have to cross any updated motor versions if / when they appear and it actually becomes an identified issue. For now its staus quo. We are not wasting time on rumours and hear say !
I would suggest if anyone wants to pursue this argument further, then put a formal presentation to committee with the appropriate info to validate your thoughts & comment.

If petrol classes are this hard, then go glow ! They are simple as !!!!
