GENERAL BUSINESS

North Canterbury RCBC - Five club race dates added to calendar Sanctioned but non PC. Entry form to load - Classes? TT to forward updated entry form for posting on Website.

Calendar - Demonstration events status regarding sanction/insurance? Dark green highlight in future.

100 Octane petrol?? Committee consensus - No issues, rule book states pump gas, so no reason to change rules. Just select fuel octane that suits the motor.

Check-off of Membership Survey before sending out. Yes ready to be sent out.

Revamp of PC points scheme? - considerations relating to ST letter. PC tabled a suggestion, duration of qualifying year to be determined. Committee agreed the proposal has merit. Convey idea to members.

Rationalisation of records – too many double ups!! On going consideration of qualifying classes.

2022 Nationals update? GH going to visit lake owner Andrew Hammond to discuss matters and day 2 of QB regatta to be held there.

H & S follow up from March meeting.

Safety officer NI and SI reps, Reporting role or at events.
TT suggests a Checklist for regattas, fire extinguisher and safety equip etc. Life jackets, first aid. Roped off area.

MS: draft a copy of some text to include with entry forms by way of safety brief.

KO: health and safety needs constant monitoring and revision as required!!!
MS: H&S needs to be dealt with in a delicate way.

Will keep H & S topic active and action on a timely basis

Canterbury Regatta Round 1 at Amberly this coming weekend – Weather forecast looks promissing.

BH – Slow milling boats electrics and boats with clutches not on plane present a hazard. Propose a rule tweak that all boats milling must be on plane or if unable to plane pull into centre of course out of harms way and retire from heat. Discuss again.
