GENERAL BUSINESS
Presidents Cup – invite participants And appoint a Points Collator.
Covered above. Email to go out to membership.
PC Cup is now at BOP for custodianship in the meantime.
Long term fate of all trophies presently held by trophy custodian and in particular for those that are never likely to be awarded again because the classes have dwindled in terms of Nationals support. Such a decision will be held over till after the planned 2022 Nats so that such class support can be ascertained.
Then, and only a suggestion only at this stage, is to offer trophies back to original donator of a trophy if identified and failing that then offer to last engraved recipient to keep.
From correspondence in -
Rulebook – tweak.
Amend rule book to rev 2, removing expiry of DV records. Such expiry to be considered to apply from 1/1/2022 in next rule book annual review.

Brian H rescue boat protocol and tow ropes - email 4/2/21 to JB. Discussed the finer points of retrieving boats and consensus was that it is up to the Contest Director on the day to manage order of retrieval of boats on the basis of (un)common sense! Regarding tow ropes the unanimous view is that (in events where) tow ropes are required to be fitted!!! therefore they must be used, in particular to prevent damage to boat being rescued and safety.
Complete membership survey as pathway to 2022 Nationals
JB, PC and TT to formulate email to members on PCup and Survey. It is considered that an accurate survey of our membership is essential to determine what classes are likely to get sufficient support to be run (at a Nats) and numbers that may potentially attend. This is viewed as similar to a 'market survey (research)' that a business may undertake before taking a 'product' to market.
NZMPBA Vision 2021 and beyond
Discussed the Nats in 2022 proposed to be held Easter mid April, over 2, 3 or 4 days (TBA)?
Safety officer NI and SI reps, Reporting role or at events.
TT suggests a Checklist for regattas, fire extinguisher and safety equip etc. Life jackets, first aid. Roped off area.
MS: draft a copy of some text to include with entry forms by way of safety brief.
KO: health and safety needs constant monitoring and revision as required!!!
MS: H&S needs to be dealt with in a delicate way.
