Hi all.

We have finished our racing for 2019. We went over to having two racedays a month which meant we got a lot of racing in. Lake conditions for most of the year were favourable.

We capped a good year with a lovely BBQ at Michelle and Wayne Thompson's which we all managed to get to except, unfortunately, Spike who was away racing his motor bike / sidecar. We are a tight knit little club and we all get along away from the lake which makes these events special. Many thanks to those who made this a lovely evening.

Our results for the year were mixed and the results were closer than looks on paper. One needs to be on the water to win.

As you all know, reliability, consistency and commitment are needed to win.

We hosted two rounds of the 2019 NZMPBA Hi Points Offshore Series, July and October. July was cold, wet and miserable but was a nice day in October. We believe in giving time on the water (2hrs) and having large numbers in the heats and finals which makes for better racing both for the those racing and those watching, so if we decide to host these events in 2020 we will continue with that philosophy and format.

A big thank you to Phil, Dennis and Dee who helped us running our club days and the national events. Couldn't have done it without you.

We will be having a BBQ / prize giving in January and will look forward to discussing and preparing for 2020. There will be new boats on the water and new members which should give impetus to the racing.
