OPEN INVITATION TO ALL NZMPBA MEMBERS... NO ENTRY FORM REQUIRED, JUST ARRIVE ON THE DAY...
This is the last BOP event for 2018 so don't miss out !
The BOP Champs is combined with the normal BOPMPBC Club Race Day, Sunday, December 2nd, 2018.
Two events in one occur where outright BOP Champs for individual classes are crowned and for BOP members double points toward the annual Hi Points Club Championship are available.
See the format below, from tomorrow on, please go to the Bay of Plenty Model Powerboat Club Facebook page and the event notice, then click GOING to confirm that you are coming.
Don't forget to bring your your $5 entry fee !
Don't forget the venue is available for use on Saturday if you have any last minute tuning issues to sort etc ! ( Please fill out the "sign on" sheet and your $2 fee to be put in ali collection can in Thunderbox or can be IOU as per the sign on...)
On arrival, ( before drivers brief) DRIVERS please come to the Thunderbox and enter your name on the white board into the classes you want to run for the day, that will save us running around after you all trying to find out !
Please note that in the Enduro, we will be using the "Penalty Marker" system and the " No Rescue" in the last 5 minutes. To be further explained at Drivers Brief....
Please note that ALL petrol boats must now have an operational ignition kill system.
We have a "Club" noise limit of 85 Db at 20M, PLEASE don't be offended if you get advised you are over, we have plenty of knowledge within the club now on how to quieten boats....its all about protecting our venue against noise complaints...
Buy / Sell / Swap... There will be an area at the Northern end of the drivers stand where you can put your items for display that you want to sell, or put up wanted to buy or swap notes etc. This might help move things along for you and the best case scenario is a newcomer might see your boat, buy it and join the club too !
PLEASE NOTE it is everyones responsibility to arrive in time to help set the venue up for the day, and help pack up at the end of the day, don't stand around watching one or two others do all the work, jump in and help !
CLUB RACE DAY CLASSES AND FORMAT
Race Day Classes:
T1 Thunderboat (Stock)
Open Mono
Open Tunnel
Open Hydro
Open Electric
2 rounds total. Each round is 2 back to back heats each class.
Sprint racing is followed by a 10 Lap “King of the Lake” Race.
Last event for the day is a 20 min Enduro. ( No Hydros !)

8.00am Venue Open, All help site set up.
9.00am Drivers Brief ( Bollard goes in at drive !)
9.15am Open Electric Hts 1 & 2
9.35am Open Practice
10.00am T1 Thunderboat Hts 1 & 2
10.35am Open Mono Hts 1 & 2
11.10am Open Tunnel Hts 1& 2
11.45am Open Hydro Ht 1
12.00pm Lunch, BYO BBQ food ( fizzy drinks available on site $2 each)
12.30pm Open Hydro Ht 2
12.45pm Open Electric Hts 3 & 4
1.05pm T1 Thunderboat Hts 3 & 4
1.40pm Open Mono Hts 3 & 4
2.15pm Open Tunnel Hts 3 & 4
2.50pm Open Hydro Hts 3 & 4
3.25pm King of Lake 10 Lap Sprint
3.40pm 20 Min Enduro
4.00pm Water Closed, ALL help clean and pack up venue.
To meet this schedule we need to start ON TIME and start races no more than 15 minutes apart, if you have broken down or are not ready when the heat is called, we will have to start without you.
To AVOID this, DRIVE TO SURVIVE and complete all your heats !!
