Action – Bob to convert to PDF so full committee can open and review in January.

Draft updated Health & Safety guideline circulated last month for (attached) for review.
Action – Bob to send out to membership
4> National Championships
See proposed format supplied by Brian Hely, circulated last week.
Action – Bob to advise the BOPMPBC that the proposed format is approved by the committee.
John Belworthy, Stephen Knutson, Bruce Clarke and Murray Smithson will also attend from the
committee.
5> T Emerson report on transponder system
Update from Trev for current development status
Action – No further update this month. Trev to keep the committee posted as news emerges.
6> Radio Failsafes
Updated Proposed Off Shore rules, circulated back to committee last month.
Membership update with Failsafe details and proposed implementation date not sent yet.
Action;
Wording for failsafe test ensures that engine stops when receiver is turned off.
7> B Hely Proposals and Remit.
a. Rule change complete and re circulated to Committee for sign-off and feedback.
Action – Bob to circulate confirmed general racing rules.
2017 Racing Calendar
Nitro to present draft calendar.
Propshaft article not written yet.
G Haines to present proposed 2017 Calendar in General Business
Action – Bob to send PDF version to committee. Committee to respond by December 11th and Bob to
circulate to Membership.
HostPapa invoice
Confirmed that this is for a web builder function that is not used or required by us. Committee email
discussion agreed not to pay this invoice and discontinue the unused function.
The function has been discontinued without incident. No further action is required.

GENERAL BUSINESS

G. Haines’ Q hydro too short for class for 2 lap and straight line speed records (Current claim a straight line record
this year with his Q hydro)
Action:
G Haines happy that the Boat did not comply with rules and he has removed both his Q hydro straight line
and 2 Lap records accordingly.

President’s Cup points Timing
Propose that President Cup Points are aligned with calendar year as the Offshore points currently are..
Propose that the change is managed by counting 2017 Nationals points in the 2016/2017 count as well as
the 2017 calendar year count.

- Bob to advise Members of the proposed rule change with 6 week feedback period.
2017 membership form
Action: Bob to update and send to current and past members.
Electric Rules
The current Electric hydro class rules do not allow the use of outrigger hydros for each voltage class.
Outrigger Hydro kits are freely available and provide an ideal entry point for electric boat racing.
Action:
G. Haines to start a discussion thread on the NZMPBA forum to gauge what level of interest there would
be and what is the best way to proceed with introducing Electric hydro racing classes.
Next NZMPBA Committee meeting Monday February 13th.
