Hi,

We have come to the end of our racing for 2016. It has not been the best with the lake being closed for about 7 months due to the algae bloom. We did however manage to host 2 rounds of the National Offshore series and five race days for our club competitions.

Here is hoping for a longer season next year. We are down to hold two rounds of the Offshore series in July and October 2017.

It will be the same format of 120 minutes racing and depending on entry numbers will combine with a cat sprint or similiar.

The results were closer than indicated, and there was some good racing. Once again the results prove that turning up for each race day and boat maintenance pays the dividends. Will be interesting next year with new members and new boats coming onto the water.

Well done to the club for all they did during the year to make it an enjoyable experience to go boating.
Also thanks to those who traveled to come to the Offshores, those who raced and the volunteers. and also our members who live out of Masterton.
