Hi,

The entry form for Round 8 of the NZMPBA Offshore Series to be held at Masterton on the 30th October 2016 has been posted onto the web site.

Under our Health and Safety Policy, Risk management Plan and club rules we insist that all boats under our jurisdiction on Henley Lake will be fitted with ignition type killer bee failsafe systems. These will be checked as part of the scrutineering process.

This may sound draconian but it has been done to fulfill a commitment we made to the local council. The last thing we want is to have anyone injured by a runaway boat. Also the continued use of our water is precious to us.

Many thanks,

Wayne

Hi Boaters,
In response to Wayne's post I did some research and found the below type of RC gas kill switch to have the features we need and at a reasonable price. Reviews have been good and comparable to more expensive units. I have ordered a few and will test them in the coming weeks. Cheers Nige.

Hi guys
After much discussion with powers to be, there has been a relaxation on the killer bee system for the Henley Lake WMPBC offshore race meeting on October 30th '16. This ruling will now come into place when we've got a bullet proof system organized for the engine, ignition system. Providing everybody has a fail safe control working it should be all good.

Could you please send the entries for the October 30th to ks.ewing@xtra.co.nz as soon as possible as Wayne not available
