MINUTES OF LAST COMMITTEE MEETING 19/5/14 READ;
Read and accepted as true and correct record, M Bindon to post to forum.

TREASURERS REPORT;
Non Profit Account $3481.21
Entry Fee Account $962.94
Insurance Account $534.99

Secretary will contact last Treasurer to follow up previous request for all NZMPBA Secretarial and Treasurers resources and equipment to be returned to Secretary.
The NZMPBA bank access token has been transferred from M Bindon to Treasurer B Clarke.
Secretary and Treasurer to develop a balance sheet for last financial year as soon as possible upon receipt of all info required, to be presented to committee on completion.

CORRESPONDANCE;
IN: Wairarapa MPBC 2nd Letter declining to host 2014 NI Champs and 2015 National Champs.
4 x Speed record claim sheets from Marlborough Challenge.
2 x E mails from F Zinsli Re website updates and management etc.

OUT: P Anderson reply to Wairarapa MPBC first letter.

MATTERS ARISING;
1> General discussion around the Wairarapa Club 2ND letter which confirms this club now declines hosting the 2014 NI Champs and the 2015 National Champs. Conclusion of this in General Business notes to follow.
2> 2 Lap Sprint Rules.
These have been updated to the Rule Book and loaded to the website.
3> NZMPBA Insurance.
Deferred until next Committee meeting while we await for transfer of information regarding insurance from last Secretary to current Secretary,
4> Patron.
General discussion around this with the following persons nominated for further consideration should the incumbent Patron not be able to be contacted or is unavailable to continue:

Peter Stillwell
Julian Stillwell

5> Website.
Updates and tidy up work in progress via M Bindon and J Belworthy working with P Collier. Committee Contacts page to be updated asap, once posted each committee member to check their details are correct.
General discussion around F Zinsli offer to assist with the web site management and updates etc, outcome is that J Belworthy, P Collier and F Zinsli to arrange to meet and work out who will carry out what updates and info load to the web site.
6> Scale Hydro Registrar remains as G Haines for time being. Now confirmed.

7> Trophy Custodian.
Secretary has confirmed with B Clarke that he will fulfil this role on behalf of the NZMPBA. For the time being there is an estimate of approx $400 to bring the engraving up to date for each year 2013 & 2014. Any engraving work has been deferred until more progress has been made with resolution around class restructuring.
8>Class Restructuring.
M Gay and S Trott continuing to work together on proposals and recommendations, initial ideas
regarding this floated with a level of subjective discussion around the issue of how to fit the Nats
into 3 days and how to achieve this with class restructuring, no determinations as such except that MG and ST to continue working on this aspect, it might be that a forum based survey is carried out to get a measure of the general memberships fed back on this.
9>Other boating associations in NZ.
Further discussion around this with agreement in principal that cooperation between the various boating associations is desirable, questions around membership to multiple organisations raised along with how that sort of interaction integrates with current insurance cover. Deferred until the insurance info is received from last Secretary.

10>SUHA.
No more action required at this point.

GENERAL BUSINESS;

1> Propshaft advertisements confirmed at $10 per issue per advert.
2> Records chart in rule book updated to include X and PX classes, J Belworthy and M Bindon to update website as required.
3> 2014 NI Champs and 2015 National Champs. P Anderson to draft a letter (with urgency to go out in next Propshaft due out very soon) requesting expressions of interest from clubs interested in hosting either or both of these events. Time frame / cut off for expressions of interest to be just prior to next Committee meeting 21st July 2014 so these can be further considered at the next committee meeting. Copy of this letter to be forwarded by Secretary directly to all known active clubs of those listed on the forum list of regional clubs ( except Wairarapa).
4> Recent new speed records, S Trott confirmed record claims submitted/ received were valid and M Gay is to issue the appropriate Record Certificates, the web site has already been updated as required. Speed record claim sheet to be modified by S Trott to provide same record claims process for 2 Lap Sprint records.

11>Next NZMPBA Committee meeting.
Scheduled for Monday 21st July 2014, 8pm via skype.
