Im Paul from Upper Hutt and have been involved in model power boating about 6 yrs now. I started with a 3.5cc K&B outboard on a tunnel. "Skullduggery" got me hooked into better and bigger things. The friendships and advise that have come from members in the Wellington club have enriched my boating hobby, and reflect also the enjoyment Im getting from the wider NZ model power boat community. I rebuilt an Areomarine sprintcat and powered it with an ASP 90, but didnt get calm enough water here in welly to race it 🙁
I now race when I can a Predator deep vee with a ASP 61. I have a 1.3m Cat being built but sadly no time at all to progress it, I have an OPS 80 ready to power it.

Currently Im president of the Welly Club, and on the committee for the association. My knowledge is limited when compared to those I boat with, but I would like to encourage anyone who would like be involved to do so, just bring some energy and the ability to work as a team member.
