So I found a prop for my scale hydro that makes it really hum. Seems to struggle a bit to get back on pipe once the prop bites.

But the most noticeable issue is that after doing a heat I can drive the boat back to the dock shut it down then go to restart for the next heat to find the plug won't light up.

The failed plugs are dark brown and fouled as opposed to the light bronze colour they usualy are. The filament is also usually still present and not greatly distorted if at all.

Can the nitro gurus and others chime in and make some suggestions?

Have been having a few discussions about this during the weeke and then decided it should be on here so everybody can benefit from the learnings.

Yeah I can see how the dark plug might make you think that. After pulling the engine out tonight the lean running is most likely due to the state of the bearings. To say they were shot would be an understatement.

But what leads you to think it's under compressed?

Yes just stuffed bearings will do that. had that happen to me recently with two motors, just replace bearing and try again once you have throughly cleaned the motor out.
