Hello NZMPBA Members.

The Committee is announcing that the 2022 AGM will be held at: 44 Mossburn Grove, Kelson, Lower Hutt on Sunday 28th August at 7pm.

This announcement complies with the constitutional requirement to give a minimum of 28 days notice.

You are invited to attend the AGM in person if you wish at the above address. If you wish to attend in person please email your intention so as we have numbers for seating etc.

Alternatively for those unable to attend in person at this date and time, you may register for attendance at the AGM meeting via SKYPE by emailing your SKYPE name to ppspeter@outlook.com . Peter Collier will include you in this Skype meeting.

The provisional agenda is below and is subject to change as needs be.

50% of the existing committee is NOT standing for re-election in 2022 and we are welcoming 'fresh ideas' and new committee members as we move ahead. Please consider what you can do for your association.

As for myself in the role of Secretary/Treasurer I am prepared to step aside outside of committee and continue the role of Treasurer managing the finances/membership (the most onerous job in the NZMPBA!) for the sake of continuity on a year by year basis until someone else can step up. That said we need a new President and Secretary, I am prepared to assist the new people to settle into those roles, both of which I have done for multiple years in days gone by.

We are calling for remits for constitution changes if there are any? Please ensure these are in my hands by 14 August 2022.

Racing (and boating in general) related rule changes are generally dealt with at committee level and such suggestions may be communicated to the committee (Secretary) at any time for consideration. Any subsequent rule changes then go out for six week consultation to the membership at large for comment, for change/tweaking etc, before ratification and inclusion in the annual rule book update.
