MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES.
Covid 19 up date and where to from here. This is the committees understanding of the rules at the moment pending May 11 announcement from government.
Currently at level 3 so social distancing preventing boating.
At Level 2 physical distancing still required and no non – essential travel so regattas still not possible.

Offshore Peter to send analysis to committee members of various scoring systems to look over for next committee meeting.
Peter showed us a graph of comparing 5 different scoring systems and the chosen system will be incorporated into the proposed updated rules and will be sent out for the 6 week consultation later in the year.

Presidents Cup volunteer to collate points.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Rule book upgrade today Specific Class Racing rules
Committee has gone thru and tidied up ambiguous rules in Event rule for future upgrade
Next month guide to racing and National Championships

Record claim forms for laser timing that include new requirements for electric records
As there are now high voltage batteries freely available on the market that fall outside our rules we need to know that boaters are conforming.
These are now available on the web site and must be submitted in support of a claim.

2020 NZMPBA member survey as per page 2 of membership application form.
Thanks to those who responded. Anyone else wishing to submit a survey form is welcome to do so. Results are posted below these minutes and on the website.

NZMPBA Member Survey- Preliminary results

27 members provided data of which;

24 are interested in competing in Offshore events

15 are interested in competing in Oval racing including 2 lap trials

6 are interested in 100 m speed

21 are prepared to travel away to events, while 6 will only attend their respective local events.

4 are interested in competing for the Presidents Cup.
