Correspondence Discussion

Wairarapa E-Mail. Committee agrees we need to consider adjusting the rule book to allow for people to race sharing a pit crew in order to make a race more enjoyable for competitors and spectators should there be insufficient numbers to go round.
Regarding helpers at their regatta so that their own members can race, the race controller needs to ask for assistance and if no volunteers put their hand up just conscript some one! Especially some one who is just standing around talking.!!

GENERAL BUSINESS

1. Presidents Cup
This years member application has a questioner regarding Presidents Cup participation or not.
We welcome suggestions and feedback!

2. Offshore scoring system. They are proportionally unfair, and the committee has looked at a system to rectify this.
In order to reward the competitors prepared to put in the effort, points will be allocated on laps completed at each regatta. Both for class placings and overall. ( If accepted by the Membership this system will be implemented at the first round of the 2020 Offshore series in Wellington April 5th)

3. Tow ropes on offshore boats are also causing some grief with rescue boat people. Drivers need to address a simple system that makes it easier to extract tow rope to retrieve dead boat.

4. Web Site Peter collier has volunteered to attend a Word Press seminar to learn how to maintain and improve our website.

Committee is continuing to look at the rules
