Hello fellow model boaters.
We are looking forward to another OVAL regatta at Lake Maraetai, Mangakino 25-26th May, 2019.

This will be for all types of glow and petrol boats, old and present day around the oval course.

Dust off your old ones and come and have some FUN and heaps of comradery over 2 days.

There is free camping at the site, a hot water shower room ($2/5 minutes) and we are looking into a meal Saturday night put on by the local cosmopolitan club.

An entry form will be posted shortly, so look out for it and book the weekend for some great racing.

Following up on Johns post have been doing some ringing around and we have a couple of options for accomodation in Mangakino.
One being the Mangakino hotel and the other being the lake Maritai lodge..
As John has put in his post there is a good camping site for those who have caravans and all the amenities that you need for the weekend.
Before I go ahead and commit to anyone could you please give me an idea if you are thinking of coming,

How about an entry form so we can see what the event will look like and what racing there is? That might mean some entries in as people can plan and commit to the event.

Update on this event at Mangakino - It will not happen at Mangakino. The TDC and Waikato Regional Council want nearly $500 to give LMPBC access to Lake Maraetai to run the event.
We have been fortunate to get approval from the Masterton group to run on Lake Henly, Masterton May 25-26 next month.
The formate will be the same. New Entry to follow in the next few days.

LMPBC is cancelling their Oval Regatta (Masterton) this year. The late move to Masterton has not helped. I have received 6 entrants making 1 class with 3 boats and another class with 4 boats only.
Kerry and I apologise for any inconvenience caused with this cancellation and will start looking at the possibility/viability of holding a regatta at Mangakino next year.
