In the wake of Cyclone Gita the Hutt river has been up to 440 cumec, where a normal flow for boating is good at 25. The rain has stopped and the river is dropping with 182 cumecs at 11:30 am Thurs. As there is no more significant rain forecast and 3 days for it to continue dropping we can be optimistic that conditions will be in our favour come Sunday.

Well weather and river was good enough to start with. Then as the tide came in and floated logs and debris from the recent storm along with an increasing wind making rescue operations hazardous the decision was made to abandon the event with only the completion of one round.

Results will go forward for collation intheNational Series.

The WMPBC event on 13 May will now be the standalone Premier event for the WMPBC Offshore Trophy.

It is rolling around to our 3rd offshore regatta on August 5th and here is hoping we get to actually start and finish one. The big Trophy will be competed for this time, the 32nd running of this event.

Check page 2 of the entry for your scrutineering form that will be required to be presented at registration.

I won't be in NZ for the whole of July so receiving entries will be a little tricky, email will work ok as will a note on this thread.

But what I will do is post here those I have received about 1st August so you can check yours is included, then let me know if it is not.

Well just one Offshore event left for 2018 and it is Round 9 on the Hutt River on 18 November.
