Hi folks,
We are now only one week away from the Wairarapa 120 here in Masterton next Sunday 16th July.
To date we have 12 entries. If you are thinking of coming, can you please let us know by this coming Wednesday. We will need time to prepare the racing program and entries in the heats.
At this stage we are looking at two rounds of heats and two finals. This will give more time for repairing boats etc and also time to run some 10 lap M course races for combined cats and mono's.
The cat / mono races give you an opportunity to give these boats a run and should be different and exciting. Can you let us know if interested in doing this.
The same as last year we will program so that you will be racing different boats in each of the heats. You will have the same number board for the day. As usual, it's your responsibility to provide your number boards.
We had our club race day today and the weather was kind and the lake was lovely. We took the opportunity to 'tweek' the course and position the buoys so as to take advantage of the big area we have. It is 120 minutes of racing around a big course which needs to be driven. We didn't call it the Wairarapa Challenge without reason.
Hope for fine weather and looking forward to seeing you all.
Later in the week will post the racing program and your heats with racing numbers,
Regards,
Wayne.
