Hi All,
Please be advised that the Nats for 2017 are confirmed with the entryform and supporting information available via the NZMPBA website link http://www.nzmpba.co.nz/?page_id=130
The format of this regatta has been redesigned based on feed back from the membership over the last 12 months, so now it is upto you as the membership to get behind the event and support it by entering.
The various drone footage on the Bay of Plenty Model Powerboat facebook page will let you see what the venue has to offer, and what you will be missing out on if you don't attend ! FUN, FUN and more FUN !
The key changes to the event are that it is now run on the weekend of 11th and 12th March, practice is Friday 10th afternoon, leaving Easter free to spend with your families.
The entryform confirms only a maximum of 14 events can run over the shortened time frame of 2 days, using a premier and ballot event system. Each event will run 4 heats, and those heats will be split up across each 1/2 day as much as possible, this does mean you will need a dedicated boat for each event.
The programme has been drafted to allow time for any motor swaps to occur around midday on Saturday, ready for the various events Saturday afternoon, then again Saturday night, ready for Sundays racing.
A limited number of billets are available, please contact either myself or Bruce Clarke to inquire.
A lot of time and effort has gone into providing this revised regatta platform, so it is now upto you as the membership of the NZMPBA to respond by entering...
Thanks and Regards,
Steve T.
