At approximately 11am this morning Brendon Kirk became the first model boater in NZ to crack the elusive 100mph barrier with a backed up run of 163.451kmh with his PX Hydro.
The gods have been kind with perfect conditions for speed at the Wairau Diversion
Tony Rutledge put another 2km on his X Hydro record as well.
Could claim another couple tomorrow Sunday as some are less than 1kmh off other records.
