Hi folks.

We are now only a month and a half away from the Round of the Offshore Series to be held at Henley Lake, Masterton on the 17th July 2016.

This was the date set after the postponement of the event scheduled to be held last April and put off due to water / lake conditions.

The lake is actually still closed but from talking with Council we are optimistic that it should be opened shortly and it will be all go for July.

The original entry form is still on the events calendar for July and you can use this if you wish, but I have asked Peter if he can replace with an amended version.

The entries I have so far which have been carried over from April are,

Brian Hely,
Bruce Clarke,
John Belworthy,
Malcolm Belworthy,
Murray Smithson,
Bob Gutsell,
Trevor Emerson,
Keith Ewing,
Wayne Thompson,
Bradley Thompson
Mark Graham.

If anyone of you can't attend, or I have missed someone off the list, please let me know.

The draws for the heats will be changed from heat to heat so you will get to race a different field for each heat.

We will be using number boards to help the lap scorers / race director so please bring these.

The day has been prepared as a 'challenge' with 120 minutes of racing planned, it is a big course,
and time between heats will be short so everyone will have to be 'on their game'.

We are not certain at the moment whether we can put on a BBQ, but there is a shop with hot food and drinks immediately across the road. We will be letting them know what we will be doing and to expect custom.

We will organise a dinner for the Saturday night for those interested. At this stage at a restaurant in Masterton (on the main street) and should be ample parking.

Masterton is a 'Freedom Camper' friendly town if anyone is interested in bringing a motor home / caravan. You can even park at the lake itself if you wish. Your van of course will need the correct certification.

Our club is looking forward to having you visit our town and enjoy what Masterton has to offer and enjoy what promises to be a good day of racing, which at the end of the day, is what it is all about.

Just a reminder, we are closing entries on the 13th July so that the draws for the heats can be sorted. We want to get this done and posted on the website. We will be using number boards so once we get the draws for the heats finalized you will know you numbers for the number boards. We are trying to work it so you will keep the same number during the regatta, but will see how we go with this.

Those coming, could you please indicate whether you will be coming to a dinner on the evening of the 16th (the night before). Need some numbers so we can book.

At the moment we have 12 entries.
