Hi folks,

The entry form for Round 2 of the 2016 Offshore Series to be held at Henley Lake, Masterton on the 17th April 2016 is now on the events calendar

At this point in time the Wairarapa is very dry with little or no water flowing into the lake. The lake has been closed by the Council for recreational use. The water conditions will be closely monitored. We desperately need rain and we will keep you informed on how it is looking, especially closer to the event date. Fingers crossed.

We look forward to hosting this event and looking forward to having you join us,

Wayne Mowbray.

Evening.

Some not so good news. Our lake is closed to recreational activities due to very high algae bloom toxicity levels. We have spoken with the Council and unless we get a LOT of rain to flush the lake out the levels will remain high. The forecast is for mainly fine weather and coupled with the Council water testing regime where they sample water once a week and then a week to get the results, we basically have no chance of being back on the lake by the 17th April.

Disappointing.

We didn't want to leave it any closer to the date for the event to let you know, people need to know what is happening to make their arrangements.

We do have a postponement date of the 17th July 2016, so will go with this date, more on that later.

There is a Round of the Offshore Series in Tauranga on the 24th April so enjoy.

Sorry about that, but we can't control the weather.

Regards,

Wayne M.
