CORRESPONDANCE;

IN: Membership renewals for ratification as at 23/2/15

OUT: Secretary to post out membership cards for memberships ratified during last months meeting.

MATTERS ARISING;
1> NZMPBA Insurance.
M Bindon to upload the entire insurance doc to the web site for access by the membership.

2> Website.
M Bindon gave an update and has received the necessary instructions from P Bretherton.
M Bindon to write a short brief to go out to the membership outlining the basic needs for photos to be used on the home page.
M Bindon also to look into photoshop type programs for editing photos to meet the final requirements needed for photo format for the website.
Full site redevelopment to be considered later.

3 > Deep Vee Hull Rules and NZ Offshore Series.
P Fowler and M Bindon gave an update on the NZ Offshore Series review and presented the current draft proposal. Based on general discussion they were to modify a few more aspects of the doc and re present at the next committee meeting. The meeting agreed that any changes to the NZ Offshore Series will not come into effect until the next series commences 2016.
It was also agreed that the deep vee hull specifications in general rules remain as they are, any hull design aspects regarding boats running in the NZ Offshore Series are outlined within the NZ Offshore Series Rules and override the general rules.

4 > NZMPBA Membership cards.
The current membership applications have all been ratified, membership cards to be prepared and sent out as required.

5 > 2015 National Champs
BOPMPBC to prepare a list of nearby accommodation that can be advertised to the membership.
T Riddiford to contact R Simonsen ( Australia) to offer AMPBA members an invitation to attend the NZ Nats.
P Anderson gave an update regarding the medals that would be presented as keep sakes for event winners with event winners still having their photo taken with the existing class trophy. The meeting agreed that medals will be prepared and presented at this Nationals.
The meeting also agreed that the host club of the Nationals is to prepare an appropriate “region themed” keep sake for each participant at the event they host. This aspect is to be added to the Nationals Host Club doc.

6 > IRMS Battery.
S Trott gave a brief update regarding the IRMS battery, it appears a similar battery will cost approx $450.00. Enquiries are continuing regarding the potential of using a small petrol generator instead.

7 > 2 Lap Sprint Records
M Bindon confirms the successful uploading of these records to the website.
