We have 28 boats entered for the Taupo 100 this weekend.

This is probably the largest offshore event to date.

Due to the numbers we will be running 3 sets of heats. All Nitro boats will run in the first heat with the remaining 2 heats being split between petrol's. Heat 3 will consist of mainly P3 entries.

This event will take longer to run as there will be an extra 100mins of racing (heat 3).
For this reason I am asking all competitors to arrive as early as possible so that your boat can be scrutineer-ed. Please remember to pay on the day $15.00. The exact amount would be appreciated.

On behalf of the Hamilton Club I look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday and good luck to all. Please keep in mind that this is a large event and your patients maybe required during the day.

The menu for Saturday night has been posted.

o Times:
o Driver Registration & Scrutineering From 8:00am
o Drivers Briefing 9:00 am
o Tune-up 9:15 – 9:45 am
o Racing Starts 9:50 am

What a day a big thanks to Matt and the team for one of the best offshore events.
This was the sixth year for this event and from small beginnings comes something quite great ,27 entry's,some really good close racing
and of course the best part good fun.
It was good to see people getting into the offshore side of things with some beautifully prepared boats .
Once again well done.....

Heard a few complaints about handling of boats by the resuce boat crew. I think we'll need to get another board and foam made up with some tow hooks for Dave's boat, and a bit of training in safer boat handling for the picker upperers. Thanks to them for spending the day rescuing our boats, when others don't want to help. There's always things to improve on for next time.
